Remix Culture Remix culture is an act of taking one or more works of art and adding to them, mashing them together, and combining them into something new and exciting. This new object could change the intended use of the original(s), it could be used to send a message, or could simply be something like a visual pun. It doesn't even have to be objects, remixing is constantly used in media like audio and video. This idea of creating something new out of possibly completely unrelated works of art is in itself, an act of creating art. Here are a few remixes I came up with. (Fig. 1) This is a "muscle car", just a goofy visual pun that popped into my head.  I had some troubles uploading the actual muscle car so i made my own. Objectification Inspired Computer

The Customizable Computer This object was inspired by the documentary Objectified  by Gary Hustwit. A lot of the objects and ideas presented in the film focused on the functionality of an object. For example the interchangeable  heads for a toothbrush, allowing the user to replace the head and keep the body saving both the environment and the user's money. Another concept in the film focused on customizability, and making an object unique to the owner. This two main ideas are what inspired me to make the customizable computer. It's essentially a computer designed to be taken apart by the owner and put back together easily. For example if someone loved to play music they could switch out their memory for a smaller one in order to fit in larger speakers. If a person preferred to play video games they could completely remove their speakers for a larger processor as easily as changing remote batteries.
